COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – U.S. Paralympics Cycling today announced the 30 athletes named to the 2024 U.S. Paralympics Cycling National Team. The roster, comprised of 16 men and 14 women, including two pilots, features 13 returning Paralympians. The majority competed at the highest international level last season, either at the 2023 UCI Para-Cycling World Championships, or at the 2023 Parapan American Games.

With 12 former Paralympic or world champions on the 2024 edition of the roster, Team USA will rely on experience to carry it into the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 this summer.

“We have so many athletes who have been at that highest level, either on the Paralympic or world championship stage,” Ian Lawless, Director, U.S. Paralympics Cycling, said. “As we enter a Paralympic year following a shortened quad [since Tokyo], we are looking to those athletes to lead by example.”

Headlining the 2024 national team on the women’s side is 17-time Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters (Louisville, Kentucky) and five-time world champion Samantha Bosco (Claremont, California). A dual-sport star in cycling and Nordic skiing, Masters is coming off seven podium performances at the Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, and added the 13th world championship title of her career in the road race at the 2023 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships.

Bosco, meanwhile, has been arguably the most dominant U.S. cyclist since missing the Tokyo Paralympics due to injury. She has since won nine world championship medals between road and track competition, including double gold at the road world championships in 2023. The two-time Paralympic bronze medalist is joined by fellow multi-time Paralympic medalists Allison Jones (Colorado Springs, Colorado), another mutli-sport star looking to make her first Paralympic Games since 2016, Jamie Whitmore (Somerset, California), Alicia Dana (Putney, Vermont), Shawn Morelli (Meadsville, Pennsylvania) and Jill Walsh (Syracuse, New York).

On the men’s side, 2023 world champion Dennis Connors (Beaverton, Oregon), is seeking his first Paralympic berth. Paralympic silver medalist Aaron Keith (Woodinville, Washington) secured two world championship medals in 2023 – one on the road and one on the track – and will look to qualify for his second Paralympics this summer. Paralympic medalists Freddie De Los Santos (Hopewell, Junction, New York), Ryan Pinney (Phoenix, Arizona), Joe Berenyi (Aurora, Illinois), and Travis Gaertner (Burien, Washington) return to the national team to round out an experienced core of men’s Para-cyclists.
